Wet Plate Photography
Ron Carnegie is a practitioner of the art and science of wet plate photography. Which is the process that had replaced the more time-consuming and dangerous process of Daguerreotype. Wet Plate was the process used in the period of the American Civil war.
Using reproduction and original equipment, Ron captures images of light on tin, glass or aluminum plates as it was done those many years ago. (well not the aluminum!) These finished images are tintypes, ambrotypes or possibly paper prints made from glass negatives or albumen prints.
